When to remove the sound from a video
Muting is handy when a clip has distracting background noise like wind, traffic or chatter, or when it contains music you don’t have the rights to use. It’s also useful for silent clips you want to play in a presentation or on a website without sound suddenly starting.

Why the quality doesn’t change
A video file stores the picture and the sound as separate streams. GrabKit leaves out the audio stream and copies the video stream into a new file exactly as it is, without decoding or re-encoding it. That’s why the result looks identical and is ready almost instantly.

Is it free to mute a video?

Is my video uploaded?

Will muting reduce the video quality?
No. The video is copied without re-encoding, so every frame is exactly the same as in the original.
What format is the muted video?

Can I mute only part of a video?
No. This tool removes the whole audio track. If you only need part of the video, cut it first with Trim video, then mute it.
Does muting make the video smaller?
A little, because the sound is gone. For a much smaller file, use Compress video, which can also remove the sound in the same step.
