Social media image sizes
The presets cover common sizes: Instagram square post 1080 × 1080 and story 1080 × 1920, Facebook cover 820 × 312, YouTube thumbnail 1280 × 720, X (Twitter) header 1500 × 500, and a 400 × 400 profile picture. Platforms change their recommendations now and then, so check their latest guidance if an image looks cropped after posting.
When the shape doesn’t match
If your image has a different shape from the size you choose, pick how to handle it. Fit keeps the whole image and fills the empty space with padding in a color you choose. Crop fills the whole frame and trims off the edges that don’t fit. Stretch forces the image into the new shape, which can make people and objects look squashed.
Making an image smaller always works well, but making it much larger than the original can’t add real detail, so it may look soft. To reduce the file size rather than the dimensions, use Compress image or Resize image to KB.

Are my images uploaded?
No. GrabKit processes your file with code that runs inside your own browser. The file is never sent to a server, so nobody (including us) can see it. You can even disconnect from the internet after the page loads and the tool keeps working.
How do I resize without distorting the image?
Keep the aspect ratio when you type a new width or height, or choose Fit or Crop when the new size has a different shape. Only Stretch changes the proportions.
Can I resize many images at once?

Which format should I save as?
Keep the original format if you’re not sure. JPG is best for photos, PNG for screenshots and graphics with transparency, and WebP for small files on websites.
